Partners

The HYHD program has been made possible by the generous support of our partners Greater Charitable Foundation, Hunter Medical Research Institute, Rotary Club of Newcastle and The Forum.

Greater Charitable Foundation

The Greater Charitable Foundation was established in 2011 with an initial allocation of $1million by Greater Bank on behalf of its members and staff. The Foundation funds practical, life-changing initiatives which directly support families and communities in NSW and South East QLD. It does so by partnering with Australian-based charitable organisations, throughout Greater Bank's area of operations, to provide significant opportunities designed to improve life outcomes. Since establishment, the Greater Charitable Foundation has allocated more than $8M in funding to 28 different charities, and provided these organisations with additional volunteer and pro-bono support.

Hunter Medical Research Institute

The Hunter Medical Research Institute began in 1998 as a bold vision to improve community wellbeing in the Hunter Region and has today evolved into a world-class institute with 1500 medical researchers, students and support staff striving to prevent, treat and defeat a multitude of serious illnesses.

Delivering patient-focused translational research is their major goal, which means seeding start-up studies and fostering a flow of information and innovation back and forth between scientists, clinicians and public health professionals. Attracting top medical specialists and collaborating with other leading institutes and industries helps to fast-track the provision of new and better health solutions.

Rotary Club of Newcastle

Rotary International is the world's first service club organisation, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.

The Forum

Finally, many thanks to The Forum for your kindly donating your space for the HYHD program sessions.
